The Digital Library of the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities presents selected grant products from 40+ years of projects funded by the Council as the independent state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The Library showcases the Council’s role as a hub for new ideas and initiatives: for over four decades the Council has supported more than 1,600 grants and programs for education, cultural heritage, preservation, and community engagement that have involved hundreds of thousands of citizens. We are delighted to feature a select number of projects as a way to launch the library online.

Our hope is that the digital library will provide unprecedented access to the comprehensive archive of Council-supported projects that make up the public humanities in Rhode Island. Featured now are 100+ grant products from 35+ projects, grouped into thematic exhibits with brief introductions.
